RISE Are we really going to let them stamp us out? We are a dying culture, they see us as a threat to their control! The time has come to fight back, this message is to all parkourists and freerunners! We must rise and defend ourselves! Are you with me, brothers?

RISE

Are we really going to let them stamp us out? We are a dying culture, they see us as a threat to their control! The time has come to fight back, this message is to all parkourists and freerunners! We must rise and defend ourselves! Are you with me, brothers?

Don’t worry, it’s not a tribble, or is it? The world will never know.
Frozen Over This is the first part of my mini-story “Frozen Over”. I will post more chaters of this story if requested. Chapter 1 Discovery               As the spacecraft landed, its crew was rushing around on the inside, attempting to prepare for the arctic conditions. Johnson was among them, he was not rushing however, and he was already in his gear. He had been ready to head out for a few days now. Johnson snapped out of his trance and ran for the airlock doors, which were now slowly opening and letting in a cold wind.             Johnson was part of the tactical department. He would head out and map the area before confirming that it was safe to colonize there. He ran out into the wind with the rest of his crew. There were four of them, four people to map an entire frozen plain. He pulled his oxygen filter over his mouth and began to walk.             At every mile, he would plant down a thermal camera, which his operator, Mina, would install onto a small holographic touch screen. She could then tell how far the plain stretched, and if there were any life forms following them. She would then report to Connor, their weapons specialist, who would prepare if anything hostile came at them.             The third member of the squad was Jane, she controlled the whole squadron. If anything went wrong, she took top priority. Johnson was the techno-freak of the group. He was no more than nineteen, but he was the only one who could keep the thermal packs running. Thermal packs were filled with a substance that was transmitted through their jackets and pants. It would keep them alive in the snow.             “Um, Connor?” Said Mina looking confused. “I’m getting something on camera A24, and it’s big.” Connor pulled out his AP17; it was a standard issue submachine gun. He loaded it and walked on with more care. After a few minutes, they heard Mina scream.             Connor spun around with his gun in the air, but it was too late. Mina was gone. They scanned the sky and plains, and heard something hit the ground next to them. It was Mina, but she had been torn apart, her limbs were lying next to her, and her head had been crushed completely.             They ran back the way they had come, leaving all the cameras behind. They heard another scream, and Jane was grabbed by something large, Johnson only got a small look at it, but it was hideous. It’s face was a gnarled tangle of veins and muscle, and it’s limbs were uneven and had almost no skin.             Johnson didn’t slow down, he went faster, he tore through the snow and ice, watched as Connor was taken as well. Johnson was screaming as he ran, and he started the emergency flare. It burned bright in the cold night air, and it illuminated horrible creatures of all shapes and sizes.             The creatures just stared at him, but they did not attack, he threw a small flashlight at one and it cowered away from the light. He held the flare higher and lit another one before the first went out. He got to the ship just in time to see it lift off, and leave him and a few other tactical operators, alone on the planet. The spacecraft left enough light to keep them safe for the night, at least he hoped it would. He laid down tiredly for the night, on a small portable bed that folded into one-eighth its own size, and went to sleep, too shocked and terrified to stay awake.

Runners I have one peice of advice for anyone who listens. Run. I found that freerunning is the only true way for people like me to relax and enjoy life.

Training grounds I learned that a good place to practice freerunning is a rock gym or a playground.
